The challenge
Founders, consultants, and their assistants juggle multiple Google Calendars — personal, client work, internal meetings — yet most scheduling tools treat each calendar in isolation or expose too much private detail when sharing availability. Booking a client call often means a chain of emails, a risk of double-booking, and an assistant manually checking three calendars before proposing times. The team needed a calm, privacy-first workspace that respected how professionals actually coordinate.
Our approach
We designed Awase to wrap around Google Calendar rather than replace it. Users connect selected calendars, define booking types with duration and buffer rules, and set weekly availability windows that reflect real working patterns. Public share pages reveal only free slots — never event titles or attendee details — so clients can self-serve without seeing sensitive information. Assistant invitations give delegated access to manage bookings without full account ownership, matching how executive teams actually operate.
The solution
Awase delivers a unified scheduling workspace with Google OAuth, rolling calendar sync, and multi-calendar aggregation in a single dashboard built on FullCalendar. Users create booking types, configure weekly slots, and publish customisable share pages with their branding. Clients book through a streamlined flow with email confirmation, while assistants manage availability and bookings on behalf of the account owner. The product ships as a PWA on Netlify for installable mobile access, with Supabase handling auth, data persistence, and real-time updates across sessions.
Outcomes
Users reported fewer scheduling emails and faster booking completion once share links replaced manual coordination. Multi-calendar aggregation removed the double-booking incidents that previously required apology calls and reschedules. Teams with assistants saw scheduling overhead drop significantly, freeing staff to focus on client preparation instead of calendar Tetris.
