SOFTFIN
SOFTFIN is a customer relationship management platform for financial and accounting companies. It centralises client data, project and task tracking, team and assignment management, and day-to-day workflow so firms can serve clients consistently and run operations more efficiently.
- Timeline
- 16 weeks from discovery to production launch
- Role
- Product strategy, UX design, full-stack development, and white-label deployment
The challenge
Mid-size accounting and financial advisory firms were running client operations across a patchwork of spreadsheets, shared drives, and email threads. Partner teams duplicated data entry, lost track of open engagements, and had no reliable way to assign work or monitor progress across offices. As client volume grew, the manual overhead became a ceiling on revenue — every new account meant more admin, not more capacity.
Our approach
We started with workflow mapping across partner, manager, and staff roles to understand where information broke down between intake, engagement, and delivery. Rather than forcing firms into a generic CRM, we designed SOFTFIN around the rhythms of accounting practice: client records tied to engagements, tasks with clear ownership, and dashboards that surface what is due this week — not just what exists in a database. The platform was architected for white-label deployment from day one, so each firm could operate under its own brand without a separate codebase.
The solution
SOFTFIN delivers a dedicated operations hub with client profiles, engagement tracking, task assignment, team management, and activity history in one interface. Staff see their queue; managers see workload across the firm; partners see pipeline health without digging through inboxes. Role-based permissions keep sensitive client data scoped appropriately, while shared templates for common engagement types reduce setup time on recurring work. The white-label layer covers branding, domain configuration, and tenant isolation so partner firms can onboard clients on a platform that looks and feels like their own product.
Outcomes
Firms using SOFTFIN replaced fragmented spreadsheet workflows with a single source of truth for client and project data. Teams spent less time on administrative reconciliation and ramped up new hires faster — without needing to learn five different tools. Engagement visibility improved accountability across offices, and the white-label model let partner organizations ship a branded client portal without building custom infrastructure from scratch.
Key outcomes
- Reduced time spent reconciling client records across spreadsheets
- Faster onboarding for new team members with a single operations hub
- Fewer missed deadlines through unified project and task visibility
- White-label deployment enabled partner firms to launch under their own brand within days
